I have a 2006 intel mac pro and using the legacy patch upgraded the O.S. to El Capitan. Can it be upgraded any further.
Unfortunately, 2006 Macs are too old according to that article. However, OCLP isn't the only patcher organisation out there - I haven't got the link to others, but a search on YouTube may pay dividends? And OCLP only goes from Big Sur whereas I know my 2011 iMac could be taken as far as Catalina using a different patcher. Here is a different article, that deals with older Macs and their OS versions,

Yes it was dosdude - it was via him that I got a High Sierra installer, which is the highest my iMac will officially go (the App Store tells me it's "Installed" which it most certainly isn't!).That's right, the other patcher I heard about was dosdude. I did come across this, not sure how relevant it is.
