As above, my mid 2013 macbook air has 4GB of ram and I want to upgrade this to work better with my newly installed SSD. Does anyone know the biggest I can go?

Sorry to be the one to break this to you... but you cannot upgrade the RAM in a 2013 MacBook Air.

And by "cannot" I mean there are two ways to do it... buy a 2013 logic board that has 8gb already soldered onto it and swap it into yours, or find someone incredibly talented with a soldering iron... in either case, far more time/money than it's worth to do.

All MacBook Air's (since 2008) have non-upgradeable RAM. MacBook Air's must be configured with as much RAM as it will ever need at time of purchase. If more RAM is needed...for most users...the most reasonable method to get more RAM is to purchase a MacBook Air (new or used)...with the amount of RAM desired/needed.
