Hello, I tried Apple phone support for this, we erased the drive. I got 2 error messages when trying different options. A "No Bag Entry" and also an apple.com/support -5101F error. Any help please?

You will encounter the rather unhelpful "no bag entry" message if the Mac is unable to connect to Apple's servers. There are a number of possible reasons for that.

And here is a YouTube video relating to reinstalling Sierra & getting the "No Bag Entry":

In addition: why was it necessary to erase the Drive? And could there be a problem with your Hard Drive?

Thanks! Chris asked to wipe the drive clean since the Mac was working too slow. I have High Sierra on a flash drive, can that work or would only Sierra work since that was the OSX which came with the machine please?

I am trying to create a bootable Sierra flash drive.

I downloaded the DMG file which is on my desktop. I opened Terminal and typed

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app

Hit Enter but got this

sudo: /Applications/Install macOS Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia: command not found

What can I do please?

What is on the DMG? Where is the "createinstallmedia" app? Does the createinstallmedia even exist for Sierra? From Apples page ( How to create a bootable installer for macOS ) it is only listed for High Sierra and later versions.
