I'm running Mountain Lion on a MacBookPro. I've been seeing the multi-color Spinning Wheel now and then but recently I've seen a BLUE Spinning Wheel. It's only on the screen for a split-second.

What does it signify and why does it come up? Thanks in advance for your help.

I get that spinning wheel in Chrome when one of my tabs ends up hanging for a second..it doesn't happen all the time but usually goes away quickly and doesn't seem to affect anything bad..

Are you seeing the wheel too often?

Spinning Wheel

I get the multi-colored wheel a lot. I've tried Onyx to no avail. Don't know what else I can do. And now recently, I get a BLUE wheel. Weird.

Folks ask this question all the time...so it's a pretty frequent topic. Can be anything from not enough ram, too full HD, not rebooting the computer enough, etc.

Try a Mac-Forums search...or read some of the links in my signature.:)

I don't know what the blue wheel is specifically (other than a signal that the Mac is "waiting" or paging memory around), but I have noticed that for me it usually corresponds to my using a web browser. I haven't seen it when using iPhoto or iMovie, for example. Maybe it's just me.

Agreed..I only ever see it in Chrome..anywhere else I've always seen the multi-color beach ball..
