Hi.
I hope some of you can shed some light on this issue:
I have been searching for a way to make my MBP hard drive more quiet. I bought the most quiet hard drive I could find (can't afford SSD), but I'm still not satisfied. I've read about AAM, but I can't seem to find a way to access it from my computer. Apparently it was possible on the powerbooks, because they used OpenFirmware, (macosxhints.com - Set Automatic Acoustic Management level on hard drives) but not on MBP which uses EFI-firmware.
I can't use MacAAM, because it's a OS9-application, and I use Leopard.
Does someone have an idea on how to access AAM on my mac? Or maybe someone have experience on dampening hard drive noise mechanically (with dampening material or similar)
Thanks in advance for any replies.
