I had the need to use my old 2012 iPad MD510B/A during the last few days. It's on the latest compatible version of iOS 10.3.3 (14G60). I noticed that webpages were annoyingly jumping which I think might be due to pop ups/adverts reloading? I've got AdBlock on my iMac but can't find a suitable ad blocker for my iPad. I don't remember it being like this last time I used it. Any ideas anyone please? Thank you.

Look for content blockers in the iOS App Store. I use Ghostery, Adguard AdBlocker, Firefox Focus, AdBlock Plus, and 2 versions of AdBlock. I don't enable them all, but they are all installed. Right now I am using AdGuard and Firefox Focus.

The problem is they are not compatible with my device which apparently cannot use iOS any later than 10.3.3

Just clicked: on the link, GET, INSTALL. Message on iPad screen "Cannot Download App, AdGuard - adblock&privacy is not compatible with this device."

Sorry, JeffL, I'm afraid that iOS 10.x is way behind the current iOS which is iOS 14.x.

Not your fault; it's just that in the digital world, things move on at a great pace. I think that you are going to find it near to impossible to acquire an Ad Blocker for your iPad which is 8 years old and 4+ versions behind the current.

From your first post, it seems that you have not used this iPad for some time but "I had the need to use my old 2012 iPad MD510B/A during the last few days."

Whatever that need was in none of our business. All that is left is to institute a forced reboot which will "freshen up" your iPad as much as possible. That might sort out some of your problems as it empties caches and refreshes your settings.

Thank you both. I'll do some research on a replacement. iPad, iPad with keyboard or possibly a MacBook.
