I got a popup at random, >>"com.adobe.ARMDC.SMJobBlessHelper" would like to access files on a removable volume.<<
I wasn't using anything Adobe-related at the time. Research showed that supposedly that was an Adobe updater.
Other posts say that it is vulnerable to remote exploitation to root priv, others say no, that's not possible. Anyone
seen this before, recently? I saw a weird post that said, well, it's just a way to try to force people to add software
to Macs. Long story short, I don't want crap running on my system on startup, or in the BG unless I know about
it. Is there a place that lists Mac OS ONLY procs based on OS ver? I got rid of the Adobe products on my system.
Yes, it's less convenient but I can use other things for PDFs, etc..

You can see what is loading at boot by going to System Settings, then search for "Login items" and you can see what is loading when you log on, as well as a group of things that are under "Allow in the Background" that start on boot. You can also get and run Etrecheck (search for it) to see everything that is currently loaded on your system to see if there is anything else.

Adobe is notorious for loading a lot of "helper" files that monitor for licenses, updates, etc. Depending on how and what from them you deleted, there could be a lot of debris left behiind.

Thanks for the top on the Etrecheck!
