apple warranty code: ow

Happy New Year !

I have a macbook pro. Last February the hard drive failed and I spent $194 replacing it at my Apple Store.
Now it's failed again. The receipt from last year says "Item Warranty Code: ow"

Q. Will Apple honor my warranty 11 months later?

Take it in today and see. I think the warrnty woud be available from the drive manufacturer s Apple do not make hard drives.

Unless your machine was covered by Apple Care (which yours was not), Apple warrants the parts and labor for out of warranty repairs to 90 days. I would take it in anyway and see what they say.

Be nice, be pleasant, be reasonable. Sometimes sweetness will get the store staff to "go the extra mile" and replace something out of warranty if they think it's reasonable. Being aggressive will not get that result.
