Autofill was using my wife’s Contacts card, and I lived with that even though some of the info was wrong for me (1st name, cell phone). I finally grew tired of that and researched how to point it to my Contacts card (Contacts > [click on my card] > Card > Make This My Card). But now Autofill only fills in my name and email address. It does not fill in the address or cell phone info from my Contacts card. I tried re-entering that info on my card, restarting Contacts and Safari, and even restarting my Mac. Same thing. In fact, I even reverted to pointing to my wife’s Contacts card, and now Autofill only uses her name and email address! :Grimmace:What am I doing wrong? Using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, Safari 9.0.2, Contacts 9.0.

Are you and your wife using the same account on your Mac? Separate user accounts and contacts should avoid any confusion with Autofill.

No, my wife doesn't even use the Mac.

OK, I think I now understand what's happening. I had the same problem with my son's contact card since we both have the same last name. Change your wife's contact card to something that you can identify with her but that's very different from you, and your autofill will work the right way. Obviously since you both have the same last name it confuses autofill. It shouldn't, but it does. You can change her contact card to just her first name for example.

Something else is going on because that should have worked. Try opening Safari Preferences, Autofill. Select edit for the option to "using info from my contacts card" and make sure that your name and not your wife's is selected. If that doesn't work, we may have to remove the Safari Plist file.

Note that the issue now is not that Autofill is using the wrong Contacts card. It's using the correct card, but it is not autofilling all of the fields on requested on the web form from the Contacts card. E.g., the web form asks for name, mailing address, phone #, and email address, but Autofill only fills in the name and email address. (Note that I have tried this on multiple web forms.)

OK, that's a different problem. I'm not sure what the Safari Autofill is supposed to, or is capable of filling in, since I only use it to fill in my name and email address.
