Automatically Empty Trash in Mac OS on shutdown

Hello,

In fact, it s not on shutdown but one time a day on shutdown
I suppose that a script is necessary

Any idea?

This is not advisable. The trash bin is a safety valve allowing you to recover files that you may have deleted by mistake. Automatically emptying it just gets rid of that safety net.

Thanks for the advice, but we need to do this for "security" reasons.

Well, I don't think there is a way to alter the standard Shut Down menu command to make it first empty the Trash. That said, it means the solution is in a script, or something that executes Empty Trash and then Shut Down. This means the user has to learn to use this new "hybrid" command instead of the usual Shut Down from the Menu. So, that's no better than telling users they have to remember to empty the Trash before shutting down.
