@ Shanablema - well, you really should have provided more information in your OP, but since you are posting in the iOS forum, I'm assuming you're are talking either about an app or a native feature of iOS - correct? If so, please provide more information: 1) What iDevice are you talking about, i.e. iPad, iPhone, both?; 2) What iOS is installed; 3) Did you lose the 'barking dog alert after an iOS update/upgrade; and 4) What have you done to correct the situation. And one final question, was this alert part of iOS or a third party app like the one shown below: Dave :)

I have an iPhone 6s and the barking sound was the one I used for incoming phone calls. When I switched to another sound to listen to it and then wanted to go back to the bark, but it wasn't there. Another responder to my question says that it is no longer available?

Try Settings->Sounds->Ringtone->Classic->Bark..

Classic is the last option in the Ringtones section so scroll down until you get to the Alert Tones section and look up.

I guess you don't have an old backup or a utility to use to get your "ringtone" back, like using iExplorer or iMazing should work???

I don't own or use an iPhone, but a google search gives some ideas:
https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=ios+ringtone&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

And then there's some nice dog barking sounds you can grab:

Then do any needed conversion or import not forgetting the two utilities I mentioned above or:

Not exactly a one-click download and install, but sure doable. ;)

Or maybe this I just noticed:

Or does Apple not allow one to customize their expensive iPhones these days? I know what my reaction to something like that would be if that were so and it wouldn't be printable folks, at least not on this site!! O:)

I had tried that - but no go. Oh well!

Are you positive you went to the the correct setting?

Settings
> Sounds
> Ringtones
> Classic (Classic is the last selection available for "Ringtones" and for "Alert Tones")
> Bark (Bark is not available in "Alert Tones")
