I had recently bought by granddaughter several Apple products to send her off to college with. As a result Apple provided gift cards for educational discounts. Well after the dust settled I was left with enough gift cards to buy a set of AirPod Pro 2's.

I am interested in the hearing aid feature Apple just got approved and will be put in a later firmware update. I have found I already love these! I can wear them and when I start to talk to someone they fade out what ever I am listening to. When I am done it starts the audio back up. This also works if I am watch TV. So cool!

Update on my Air Pod 2's. They updated to the latest firmware 7A305 which gave them the hearing aid feature - supposedly. I have very mild hearing loss in my left ear due to tinnitus - only in my left ear, so it is hard for me to figure out if they are doing anything in that area.

BUT I did wear them to church Sunday and made a great discovery. I run our video computer during service. It has been well established our audio/video control booth is the loudest area in the room. Easily 95db or more. In the past I have worn ear plugs but it is hard to hear the words they are singing. I am responsible for following the singers and put the words on the screens. I put in the Air Pod 2's and they reduced the volume down to a very nice level. I could hear the singers and the volume was very comfortable. I did remove them to test just how loud it was and there was a very noticeable volume level change. I should have checked on my watch the levels. I will do that next Sunday. It was also nice to be able to leave them in once the preaching started and the Air Pods adapt so I never noticed the volume change and I could hear what was said.

Another nice feature is when I am listening to music or an audio book if I start to talk to someone the Air Pods will pause/lower the audio as I talk and when I am done will raise it back.

I use the adaptive setting for all the above.
