By accident deleted printer how can I get it back

By accident I deleted my Canon Pixma MX870 printer in the print and scan preferences. The printer is still installed on my computer, but I need to know what information to put in, or where to find this information to add the printer back into the print and scan preferences. Using Mountain Lion if that makes a difference.....

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Go back to the Print & Scan option in System Preferences, hit the + sign at the bottom left of the dialog and depending on how you printer is connected, it might get detected automatically. Once selected, the drivers will be used to configure it for use..
