Can candle smoke damage the iMac?

I wouldn't say the destruction of it but IMHO after burning candles around it for awhile, it wouldn't be a good idea. It would probably go along the same lines as smoking cigarettes, cigars, sheesha and/or cigaweed around it.
My wife burns candles and after awhile you can see the black soot on the ceiling directly above the candle. It the soot is there on the ceiling, just think what you are breathing in.

Well I guess it depends how close you put the candles. If she a starts a smokin' you got troubles!
Your iMac will be pulling air in from the bottom and blowing it out the top, my guess as long as its far enough away for the smoke to stay be well clear of the vents its unlikely to do anything. If the smoke is getting sucked into the vents then its probably not good.
