Can I use a Dell All in One Computer as a monitor for the Mac Mini

I have a Dell All in One Model Inspiron 7459 and wondering if I can use it as a monitor for the Mac Mini. If so do I have to do anything special to use it.

No, you can not use that model Dell as it has no input/output for video. It only has USB 2 and USB 3 ports. Besides all that, it's a touch screen model.

You will need a separate monitor for your Mac Mini.

The Amazon specs left that out and only showed the USB ports. What year/model Mac Mini do you have?

The latest Mac Mini (Intel) has an HDMI video output port which means you can connect an HDMI cable from the Mini to your Dell HDMI port. Most older Mac Mini models likewise have an HDMI video output port.

The only drawback is as mentioned by Bob above is whether or not you can use the Dell monitor without the computer being on and booted up into Windows 10. If it requires to be booted for the monitor to work, then you can not use it for the Mini.
