CCC restore

Hi All,

I have a macbook pro running Snow Leperd 10.6.6.

I'd like to clone my image before I partition my drive so I can dual boot it (just in case I have any issues I can restore from the image)

How do I restore the CCC image? Do I need the installation media to boot from before I can restore it?

This is a work laptop so I don't have the media (don't tell anyone im doing this haha)

I'm not sure what you're asking.
Do you want to know how to boot your Mac off of the CCC clone on an external drive?
If so, you can hold the Option key when you restart until you see a grey screen with more than one hard drive icon (Usually one will say "MacBook Pro" or whatever you've named your Mac and the other will be the CCC clone). As long as you've made a bootable clone with CCC, it will show up as an option for start up. Choose it and click the little arrow underneath that HDD icon.

So I'm going to use CCC to make a bootable clone on my external USB drive.

If I need to restore it, I can simply hold down the options key on reboot and select the CCC clone to restore. No installer DVD required?
