It seems that Mac is blocking Citrix Receiver. This is a program that is used by my company website and I need it to work without getting all the popup error. I'm getting the below errors on Monterey or BigSir, I have checked the Citrix website to make sure I have installed the latest version. Has anyone else seen this and is there a work around or solution?

This is what I'm getting when I try to install the program. If I uncheck "Report malware to Apple to protect other users" and then click Cancel it will just keep popping up. after 6 or so times of unchecking and clicking cancel it will finally let me install, however ....

then I get this error as well as some others.

Even after ignoring all these errors the webpage will still give me this error. So it would seem that even after managing to get it installed it is still being blocked.

Welcome to the forum. I vaguely recall my daughter trying to use Citrix on a Mac, with much frustration. I went to the Citrix site and there is a very new version out. Are you using that one?

I didn't see anything on the Citrix website that says it should not install and run. What Mac do you have? You also mentioned two different versions of macOS. Both are listed as compatible, but which is the one you are using now?

Also, what do you have for security settings? There are significant discussions in the release notes for Citrix about the criticality of security certificates. The error messages are strong warnings, stronger than any I've seen before when installing, which makes me think that the installer is messing with something that the OS thinks is very dangerous.

Maybe someone will come along that is using the application and be able to give more specific suggestions, but security settings is the one I can think of right now. Good luck with it!

I am a sys admin, so I have test macs running both OSs. and they are both base installs (freshly wiped and OS reinstalled)

I did find this on the Citrix site. But I tried installing Citrix Workspace app and the browser is not detecting it.

"Beginning August 2018, Citrix Receiver will be replaced by Citrix Workspace app. While you can still download older versions of Citrix Receiver, new features and enhancements will be released for Citrix Workspace app.

Citrix Workspace app is a new client from Citrix that works similar to Citrix Receiver and is fully backward-compatible with your organization’s Citrix infrastructure. Citrix Workspace app provides the full capabilities of Citrix Receiver, as well as new capabilities based on your organization’s Citrix deployment.

Citrix Workspace app is built on Citrix Receiver technology, and is fully backward compatible with all Citrix solutions.

For more information, please visit the Workspace app FAQ page"

The link I gave was for the most recent version of Citrix Workspace app. A good while ago Apple changed security in the system. I think that may be why Citrix dropped Citrix Receiver and recreated the function in Citrix Workspace. You said you are trying to install Receiver, which has been deprecated by Citrix and probably won't work, even if you get it installed and find a way to block the warnings.

Best I can suggest is to look at the FAQ page referenced and/or give Citrix a call to see if there is some setting somewhere that is causing the browser not to function properly for you.

I just downloaded and installed Citrix Workspace from here, Citrix Workspace app 2203.1 for Mac - Citrix.

I opened the dmg, then right clicked on the installer. No issues, but I don't have an account to use with it to test.

Yes I was able to get it installed with no issue. where I am running into trouble is when I try to access a website, it will detect the Citrix Workspace and then I get error "Cannot complete your request".

I think you will have to take that to Citrix.
