ClamXAV UI Helper

I found this today in System Preferences > Notifications.




I looked through my Applications but there doesn't seem to be a program associated with it.

Maybe you already uninstalled ClamXAV?

Thanks for your reply Bob. I would have remembered installing it, especially with a name like Clam. I did a quick search and it's supposed to be an antivirus and malware scanner for macOS. The only thing even close to that on my system is Malwarebytes. Is there a way to remove it from the Notifications list?

ClamXAV is an antivirus program for Mac OS X. Just ignore. I turned Notifications off as they are a nuisance.

Thank you for replying. I went to the ClamXAV website and found an uninstaller. I ran it and the ClamXAV was removed from the Notifications list in System Preferences. I'm still trying to figure out how it got installed on my system to begin with.
