Hello, Okay I will try and explain what is happening. I have a Mac OS 12.4, bought late 2015 21 inch. Everything was working well until Monterey was loaded and consequently updates. I have sympatico as my e-mail and what has been happening is that when I open my e-mail I can always see the Subject line but not the content, or one will open and the rest not. I have to shut down my e-mail and then open it up sometimes once and sometimes up to 5/6 times to read my e-mails. This situation has now been going on for a few weeks now. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using Mail.app as your email client or something else? Access your email directly using the browser to ensure that all of your email is properly there.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I had a medical emergency that laid me up for a while.
I'm using the mail app that came with OS.
If I go to the Bell site, the emails show correctly, but with the mail app, sometimes I can see the main body of the message but most of the time, it's blank. Leaving mail and going back in sometimes allows me to see the whole message.
My computer does seem slow lately and I was wondering if is just having a hard time loading the messages. We have another Mac, a couple of years newer that is running Monterey and Sympatico ail with no problems.

My first suspicion would be something related to Sympatico mail. Is that the only email account you have?
Do you have other accounts with eg Gmail or similar that are performing normally? Does it work okay on other devices, iPhone or iPad?

Reading up a little I see that Sympatico is a Bell portal of web services owned by Bell Canada and they are in the process of phasing it out. It's possible the Apple Mail app is having trouble with Bell's servers or the account preferences need to be reset. I doubt it's a problem related to Apple Mail itself.
Sometimes the best solution is to delete the account in Mail preferences and re enter it.
Alternatively you could try a different email client like Outlook for macOS, Thunderbird (Free) or Spark.

Either way it might be a good idea to avail yourself of a secondary email account with another provider. I have 4; @iCloud, @live, @gmail, @vivaldi I had no trouble migrating all of these across with the exception of @vivaldi.net which had to be deleted and re entered.

I've determined now, that the messages will show if I leave it long enough, which leads me to believe that my problem is caused by my computer just being really slow. The message panes were blank, but after leaving it for about 5 minutes, they came in.
Apparently, this machine, (late 2015 with i5 processor and 8gb of ram), is just barely able to handle Monterey, and with the slow 1tb / 5500 hard drive, it's just really slow.
I'm going to try a fresh install of Monterey and see if that helps.

I am interested to know if you ever got a good solution to this problem. We have the exact same problem with our gmail account. We also have the same model iMac as you.
