Apple Keychain will not save a user name and password because the app url points to a page within a website that keychain already includes with the same username but different password. Specifically, my keychain includes CVS.com. The “OTC Health Solutions” app, a different app from the CVS app, is nonetheless part of CVS, but it goes to a special page on the CVS site.

When I try to enter the OTC app credentials into keychain, keychain tells me that the password already exists when it doesn't exist (see screenshot), and it won't let me add the OTC credentials.

How do I get Keychain to accept the OTC app credentials?

It's one of the areas that Apple's Keychain falls short when it come to being a password manager (there are others).
Still it's a huge improvement on the old user interface.
The only way to do what you want is to manually create additional passwords for OTC with slightly different titles.
When you choose Auto Fill for the user name/password you will be presented with the opportunity to choose from the list of stored passwords. You may need to search.
In defence of Apple many sites make it difficult by having different services on one URL requiring different passwords.
I use Enpass as a P/W manager, it allows me to add notes so that where one provider has multiple passwords such as a bank for debit cards, credit cards, phone/internet banking, iOS app pin numbers ect. I list them there.
Keychain passwords provides this option too but they can't be auto filled with either.

Thanks, Rod. I was using 1Password on my Macs and Keychain on my iPhone, but 1Password 8 is so convoluted. I'll look at Enpass.

Yeah, it's worth looking at alternatives. I tried most of them way back about 5-6 years ago, Dashlane, OnePass ect Enpass was the only one that used local storage rather than a remote data base with the small disadvantage of no remote login. I did opt to sync via iCloud eventually but to access my passwords one would still need the app, my Apple ID and my Enpass Master password so pretty secure.
