In Mac Pages when I'm working with a Table, the auto-correct option for fractions isn't working. If I'm not in a table, the fraction auto-correct function works fine. Why can't I make it work in Table cells? Thanks

Indeed that is the case! I suspect that this is because the table is a special object to which auto-correction doesn't apply. A simple solution is to write the fraction in the document and simply paste it into a cell. This works because the fraction, when converted, actually replaces the fraction with a new character which is easily pasted into a table.

I was thinking you may be able to insert a Numbers table into your Pages document? Fill out the table in Numbers before pasting.

Thanks for that info. I don't know why the powers at Apple can't fix this: namely allow auto-correct within tables. Your solution will work, so thanks. It hardly seems worth the effort, though, if you have to type a lot of fractions in a table.

I tried that here (as that was a novel solution suggestion!) but it doesn't seem to work. In thinking about it, that kind of makes sense as a spreadsheet is more about function that form, and a formatted fraction is purely a "form thing." But great suggestion nonetheless!
