Font size on Safari>Gmail

When typing an outgoing email message on Safari>Gmail is there a way to "permanently" set the font at "Large" (see photo).

I have adjusted display size at Apple>System Settings>Displays, and that helps, but if possible I would still like to SET (that is, set and remain set) font size in Gmail to Large ... if possible.

Within Gmail, click on the gear icon on the top right corner near your profile picture. Then select See all settings. Now look to the middle of the page for Default text style and choose Large as your setting and it will now persist.
