Hi all, is it only me ? but i charged my iPhone 5S overnight, same as i always do, it showed 100% same as it always does, but the battery icon was YELLOW !!! IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREEN BEFORE ? NOW AT 85% IT IS WHITE ???

Please, could there be something wrong.

Yellow indicates that the OS believes the battery to be damaged in some way. This is not always true. Try a restart (power down and then power up again), or try running the battery down completely (till it shuts off) and then a full recharge. If it is still showing yellow, you may want to take it to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for diagnosis. Even if the battery should need replacing, this is not an expensive repair.

Or it could be the excuse you need to move up to a shiny new 6s ... :)

In addition to the good advice from member chas_m, you can download the free "BMSSM" app from the iTunes App store which will give you the status of your battery and also lots of other information about your 5S.

Hi chaps, thank you very much for your views and comments on my problem, however, happily i have found out my Battery is OK O:)

Following on from what "chas_m" suggested, thanks "chas_m", it did appear that my battery was suspect, therefore as my iPhone5S is about 18 months old and still under Apple Extended Warranty, my next step was to get an appointment at the Genius Bar, to do that i had a FreePhone number to ring, which put me through to Apple support.

So i then had to explain my problem to a very nice gentleman :- Of Course he knew the answer !!!

The Battery Icon shows YELLOW when Settings/Battery/Low Power Mode is ON

Thanks again chaps for your valued help :D I would really like a new iPhone though, although i fear the 6S is a little bit too big !!!!
