Right trying to download app store but with the 10.5.8 saying i can't do it, iv'e tryed with updates of 10.6.6 and again it's saying my machine is to old, what would i need to download because you can not even update the system with a single software update?

You can't. You must have 10.6.7 or later Snow Leopard to use the MAS.

T'is true unfortunately. It is only available to those that have Snow Leopard and have updated to the .7 build. All the apps available on the App Store will only run on 10.6.7 or above. You can't download the App Store, it merely comes with the update or with OSX Lion.

Do you have the Leopard DVD? if so download Pacifist to find and install just Terminal from the DVD. After that run Software Update to make sure that you have the most current version for your OS.

Too many devices to list
In the meantime (or if for some reason Sly's solution doesn't work), you can always get iTerm.

How are you missing Terminal? If you accidentally deleted in then simply restore from the disc that came with your machine. If you do not have the original install discs,
then pick up a copy of Snow Leopard for $35 online. It is out of print now and will be going up in price as it becomes a commodity, buy now!
