Inbox lists mail received as 'Fri 10.44 PM'. How can I change this to the DATE received (time optional)? Days of the week just repeat themselves, so are useless! What nitwit designed this app? It's so obvious it beggars belief that the date is not given, like Yahoo mail, nor can I find any solution on the web. Or are changes only permitted with Premium?

Thank you.

Are you using Outlook or Mail to view the email? In my Outlook, Version 15.35, see Today and the time, but for earlier dates I get the date in the format mm/dd/yyyy. I don't send Outlook mail to Mail, so I can't tell you what would be there, sorry.

My mail is called web-based 'Outlook Mail', my email address is [email protected] and I have been using it for over 10 years. The time-received column at far right has changed since my posting above. Top of the list, below the heading 'Filter ⋎' is 12.03 AM, then below Sat 7/1, Sat 7/1, Fri 6/30, Fri 6/30 etc.

Not sure why it is different, as no settings were changed, but I still can't find any means of changing the format (from Day & Time to Day & Date) if the problem crops up again. On the 11th mail down it changes to 6/25/2017. I would like to change this to European format date-month-year.

OK, but I'm sorry I cannot help you. I don't use web-based mail, nor hotmail, so I cannot even begin to investigate what you are seeing. Perhaps someone else will come along soon who can.

Good luck with it.

So if you aren't changing things, maybe your ISP is???

And would this help?:
How To Change Date And Time Format Of Mail Received Field In Outlook?
https://www.extendoffice.com/documents/outlook/1390-outlook-change-date-time-format.html

or this?:
Change how email is displayed in Outlook.com or Outlook on the web
https://support.office.com/en-us/ar...-the-web-e650ae23-b558-4fbf-bdd1-73268f6852b7

And I don't know if this might be related or not:

Date & Time seem to be set by this website, so nothing I can do. At least it's displaying the date now!

Maybe contact them if you can and ask if and how to correct things. There's usually always room for improvements to at least should be. :Smirk:

I didn't see any support link or contact, but maybe that's because I'm not a member.
