Hi -- I can't seem to find an answer in the search...

I have a mac/iPhone at home on my personal Apple account. I have an iPad at work on my work Apple account.

I bought a book in iBooks under the work account.

I'd like to use my home computer to read the book that is under my work account.
Can I switch between my work account and my home account in iBooks? (Or is there a way to share the book --and its notes-- across the two accounts?)

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "accounts". Are you referring to your Apple ID? In other words, do you have a different Apple ID for your work and one for your personal use at home? If so, just sign on with your work Apple ID and password to read your iBook from your personal computer at home.

Yes, I mean Apple ID. SO, sign on where? In iBooks? Or do I have to change the Apple ID for my Mac (in settings?)

Yes, in iBooks so that you can read the book from your home computer. Otherwise you would have to purchase the book again with your home Apple ID. I don't use iBooks at all but rather use the Amazon Kindle. I can read my Kindle books from anywhere as long as the Kindle link recognizes me.

I just tested this using iBooks. Upon opening the iBooks app it asks for my Apple ID and password. You would use your work Apple ID and password instead of your at home Apple ID and password. After signing on, it should take you to your library or the iBooks on line store.

Thanks. It seems like it's a little more complicated, though...
So I followed your post, but when I open iBooks, it does not prompt me to sign in. It's already in as my Home Apple ID. So under "Store" I "Sign Out." Guess what? My books are still available to me! Then I sign in as my Work Apple ID, and nothing changes. Same books. What gives?

You need to download the book(s) associated with your work Apple ID, then it will be on your compunter.
