I have IINA 1.3.1 Build 133.

When I open IINA software for an audio program, how can I reduce the size of the IINA GUI on the computer desktop, so that the smallest size becomes the default size every time any audio program is activated.

Currently, the default size of the IINA GUI on the computer desktop is quite large, and I manually reduce the size to the smallest available size every time an audio program is started. As such, I would like to make the smallest size the default size so I no longer have to manually reduce the size of the IINA GUI each time an audio program is started.

Also, when I open an audio program, it always opens in the top right corner of the desktop computer screen by default. How can I change the default location of where the software opens on the desktop computer screen?

Thanks for any tips.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. When I open up an audio file, I get the app's control buttons for playback, pause, etc, and the file's embedded cover art. By default here, it's as small as it can get, short of maybe disabling display of the cover art. Can you post a screen cap of how it starts up and how you want it to appear?

IINA launches more or less in the middle of the screen for me here. You may need a 3rd party utility llike Moom.

I've attached an illustration of the default size of audio files opened by IINA software, and the smaller size that I would like to be the default.

Thanks, I figured it out for IINA 1.3.1 Build 133.

IINA > Preferences > UI > Resize the window to fit video size > Always > Resize window to 0.5x video size (my preference, also applies to audio files).

I'm rather baffled about audio files... has no effect here, but glad you got that sorted. If you didn't notice, IINA has a preference there also that dictates where on the screen it will open up. Interestingly, when I set that, IINA starts to go to the preferred position that I set, then it snaps back to the last location it was manually placed on the screen. That's really odd. It's like something else is trying to control the position for me, but I don't know what.
