Several people suggested that I try iMazing. I paid for it and set it up for backups of my iPad and iPhone.
Things haven't gone well.
I manually initiated an iMazing encrypted local backup of my 64GB iPad while it was directly connected to my Mac via a USB cable. Two hours later it appeared that the backup was complete, but it was still "archiving". I usually take my iPad out for coffee in the morning so I can read the Bangkok Post over a cappuccino. But, I left it home to complete the archiving. When I got home it was still archiving and the progress bar hadn't budged. I aborted the backup. This is after five hours. I have no way of knowing if the backup is good or whether or not the "archiving" process was actually finished.
This morning I had a look at my iPhone in iMazing. iMazing reported that my iPhone was backed up "Today at 07:48:59". Trouble is, at that time it was still 5:30 AM. Is iMazing so 'mazing that it can see into the future?
At that point I decided to quit iMazing, but a dialog box warned me that "You currently have operations in progress." But, when I clicked on the Operations button it returned "No Operations". Well, are there or aren't there?
Have other iMazing users had this sort of experience?
