hi, i recently tried to access my bank account and it keeps saying applet not loaded, please reload again. i tried reloading over and over again and then i found out today from the bank website that i might have been infected with the trojan called "spyeye" which have resulted in this.

i read in multiple post that malware could be installed if you have entered administrator password as part of the process and i think i did that during one of the installations i made few weeks ago.

is there anyway that im able to remove this trojan from my macbook pro?

The Trojan "Spyeye" is Windows malware and can not infect your Mac. You can do a Google search and find lots of info regarding it. The Symantec site has good info.

Just because you entered your admin password to install a program does not mean that you were duped into installing a Trojan.

Go back to your Bank's site and try again. There may have been a problem with their web page and software. You can always change your password and login ID by accessing your personal info area. If you have a PIN number, the bank will have to change that for you.

If you wish, you can install the free ClamXAV which will scan your Mac for malware. Here is the LINK.

Try "Clearing your History" and "Emptying your Cache".

"applet not loaded" makes it sound as if there is an issue with Java - not sure whether that's a site issue or your computer though. Since "spyeye" is a Windows trojan, you don't have to worry about it affecting OS X. That notification on the bank website is there for all visitors to the site to see, not just you.
