I created an app through applescript and would like all users on a machine to be able to use it. I saved it as a .app file and then drag it into the applications folder. Other users can see the app but it has a line though it and when they try to open it they get a message "parts of the application are not available"

I go back into the admin account (where the app originated) Then I right click, and give read/write access to all users, reboot. The second user still has a problem opening the app but the error now says "The app is not available" and still has a diagonal line through it.

I have tried this on multiple Os versions, any Ideas?

Is that Application in the root Application folder, or just in the Admin's Application folders? Double click on the hard drive icon. Open the Applications folder that you see along with Library, Users, System, etc. Move the program to the Applications folder.

For all to use it needs to be in the root one, then from an Admin account, do a Get Info on it & adjust the Privileges as needed.

Then if you want it on the dock, log into each account and drag and drop the app into the Dock to create a shortcut to it there.

Clarification:
When I click on the app in the 2nd profile I get the error that the app may be damaged or incomplete, but it works perfectly fine in the main profile.
