Can i update IPhoto 9.6.1?
Is there no way of running a newer version using OS Sierra 10.12.6

iPhoto was replaced by Photos, so the quick answer is "no." I don't know if 9.6.1 was the final version of iPhoto, but I do know that as soon as Photos was released, there were no further updates to iPhoto.

However, you can migrate your iPhoto database to Photos pretty easily.

The last version of iPhoto was 9.6.1 no further updates were released after that. It should show up in the "Purchased" tab of the App Store. If one has a version less than 9.6.1 it does not work with newer OS versions.
