I have an issue, that someone is claiming that I have agreed a contract with them by email. I have never received such an email from them, and of course haven't replied either.
I don't know if they have faked this kind of email chain, but they are claiming that they have this kind of email conversation. We are going to court over this issue and I would like to know before that if it is possible to fake this kind of email chain. I don't know how long this chain is, but obviously it should at least include sent message to my email and then reply to the same email from my email address.
I know that the raw source of the email can be seen, but can this be faked too?

G'day and welcome to the forums. Scammers are on the go all the time. You have placed an order with us; we have an employment contract with you; we have funds available to transfer. Do not reply otherwise they know you are getting their emails.

Thanks for your answer Harry.
This is not an internet scam. We were cooperating with this guy for 10 years and after the cooperation finished, he is claiming something that never happened and is saying that he has this kind conversation chain where I have supposedly agreed something. I haven't seen this email. We are now going to court for the issue, so I would like to know before the court if it is possible to fake this kind of emails, by adding fake email to your outbox showing that you have sent this kind of email and then and then also having a fake reply for this.

If this is a legal matter…an internet forum probably isn't the best place to look for advice.;)

For what it's worth…probably just about anything can be faked. The big question is…how good of a fake is it. If it's a poor fake…it may be easy to spot from a mile away. Just like bad spam…where folks make "fake" emails that look like they are coming from eBay, Paypal, AOL, or your favorite bank.

The bottom line is. If these emails are key evidence against you…then you need to be able to examine them…as part of the process to determine if they are legitimate. The process in the United States (and maybe other parts of the world)…is called "Discovery". Where both sides of a legal case need to share the evidence they have with the other side…so that proper arguments can be made.

Please go seek the advice of a lawyer that specializes in this sort of thing.:)
