Found a solution:
I'm going to go ahead and assume ur using vista rn't u? I am of the perception that the shift capacity is disabled by windows as a general security measure for running programs who also have similar capacities, so as to prevent them from opening other programs, maybe I'm wrong and microsoft just did it out of spite 4 apple, but I know how to work around it:
Simply run Itunes as administrator.
- That means right click ur itunes program icon and press the option 'run as administrator'
- Typically speaking the option doesn't appear for shortcuts so open up ur itunes program folder:
Computer > Local Disk C > Program Files > Itunes
Then right click on the file thats named 'Itunes.exe'; then click 'run as administrator'
wait for it to load and go through all the notifications, sometimes it says theme has been changed and vista home premium or business etc. looks like vista basic. Don't worry, now use the shift + restore option.
- After itunes closes, the appearance of vista should return back to normal.
- You can make this permanent by right clicking 'Itunes.exe' and going to properties, and then compatibility, there's an option you can tick 'run as administrator' but i don't recommend as its annoying 4 the vista theme 2 change everytime if u use itunes often. Hope this works
