Hello,

I've just bought Logitech C270 webcam. In the website it is listed as a UVC webcam and is officially supported for Mac.
I have a Mac mini 2012 version and is running Sierrra OS.

I've seen and read on the internet people could just plug and play this webcam to their Mac and use it with photoboth, facetime, imovie.
The problem with me is that I need to use the Logitech Webcam Software to use this webcam since other application won't recognize this webcam.

Anyone has experienced something similar? Do I need to update/install some UVC driver for my Mac?

Thank you.

Like Ferrarr...on the Logictech website...I can't find where it says the C270 webcam is Mac supported.

The C270 webcam is the least expensive webcam Logictech currently offers. I've found (and you'll find) that usually only the more/most expensive Logitech webcam's are Mac supported.

- You'll see that the $69 C615 supports Mac's with very old OS versions (10.5 and 10.6).
- The $99 C920 and C922 both support Mac's.
- And the $129 Pro Web cam supports Mac's.

You're not going to get away cheap getting a webcam for an Apple computer. And I've found (at least with previous model $99+ Logictech web cams)...they are not very easy to setup.

HTH,:)

- Nick
