If I leave my Mac Pro on overnight it usually restarts itself due to panic errors. Is it possible one of my CPUs are bad? Model: MacPro5,1, BootROM 144.0.0.0.0, 12 processors, 6-Core Intel Xeon, 3.33 GHz, 48 GB, SMC 1.39f5

You indicate the MP had it's CPU's upgraded at some point. Has this been happening since the upgrade? And if so, how well was the upgrade done? I know there are all kinds of things that can go wrong. If the CPU's were not thermal pasted correctly or if the heat sink was not tightened down correctly - ie: too much tension or not enough. But it seems to be a CPU issue - it is hard to say if it is CPU 1 or 2 as it indicates both are having issues. And it does indicate processors 12-23 in both panics.

I would suggest you download and read the Apple Technical manual on your Mac Pro. There are diagnostic lights internally that could prove helpful.

Both links lead to the same manual:

Hi Lisa The upgrade was done about 5 years ago and I've had no problems since then. I upgraded the RAM about 2 years ago as well. This has been happening for several months now. It usually happens very early in the morning but I've never been ib front of the computer when it happened.

Take a look at the link to the technical manual that I posted above. will tell you how to interpret the color of the indicator lights on the logic boards.

Have you tried shutting it down when you are done then starting it up when you need it - and does that stop the restarts? Tracking down an intermittent problem is hard to do. Especially if it is a CPU or the memory. What is really a pain is if it is a CPU. Changing one of those is not fun. And from what your panic reports show there is no clear indication of which one - unless you can figure out which has the 12-23 cores.

See if any indicator lights are showing anything. I have a 2009 that was flashed and upgraded to reflect a 2010. It has been a workhorse for me. I dread if it starts to act up as replacing it would be costly.
