Hi everyone,

I just bough a Macbook Pro for about a half year ago, and this two days ago i discovered i had a black dot on my screen, i ve read loads about dead pixel, colored and so on, and i even experienced it 3 times on apple monitors (not on my laptop though)

But i never seen these dots before :[

Can any one help me..

- Is this dead pixels?
- Are they covered by my warrenty?
- How many can you see?

Yeah sadly enough... i though so! :Shouting:

Can any one tell me how many dead pixels we're talking about for sure there is more than one, cause its "blurry" and i've seen single colored pixels on other monitors before..

Does Apple usually replace the panel in such case?..

Cheers
Rob

It hard to judge from the attached screen shot how many pixels are not lighting up (or dead). But it does seem to be a small cluster of them. As far as it being covered by your Apple warranty and in order for the display panel to be replaced, a tech will have to look at it and make a judgement call. I'm sure though with that many pixels being dead, they would replace it. Be sure to speak to the store manager if the tech who looks at it doesn't want to replace the display.

Regards.
