What version of macOS are you running?

Right off the bat, I see you have Malwarebytes and Avast Antivirus. While I'm of the opinion that it's ok to have a piece of malware screening software available as a second opinion to run once in a while (you are covered by macOS' XProtect, though adware is known to slip through), you don't need one to run live scans constantly and having 2 is absurd. Get rid of Avast... I don't know of any high opinions of it. Malwarebytes used to be held in high regard but it's starting to fall out of favor. Consider ditching it in favor of DetectX if you must have something. DetectX captured adware for a couple members here this week and is proving to be exceptionally good.

If this doesn't fix it, next step is to try uninstalling Paragon's NTFS driver. They are normally pretty reliable, but we need to eliminate it as a culprit here. Do you know if it is up to date?

Do you have a reason to read NTFS dusks (typically formatted by Windows) on your Mac? If not, remove the Paragon driver? It's usually a solid program, I have it on my system, but there's no reason to have it installed if you don't need it.

I have removed Paragon. I will see how it performs tomorrow. If it continues to crash, will post an updated report. Cheers

If you still have problems, let us know more about the specs of your system (model/year, amount of RAM, etc). What type of internal drive, its capacity and how full it is, etc. Also try EtreCheck, a troubleshooting app that may help give some insight here.
EtreCheck

Do you have any insight as to when this started? Anything new installed? Anything new plugged into it?

End of report

I'm not sure when this started but at least two months. In past few months I have added iSkysoft Video Converter Ultimate, Any Video Converter, Uniconverter, EaseUS Mobi Mover and Duet. Happy to remove any or all if you think it would help. Also added Microsoft package (word, Excel etc).
Cheers

I have uninstalled Avast and Malaware as you suggested but cannot find a Paragon app t open. A search of my computer finds some Paragon Folders, including Software and FacebookAgent, but they are inactive - when I click to open they cannot find a program to open. Any suggestions? Cheers

Battery failure - Your battery is reporting that it needs to be serviced.

You may need a new battery. CoconutBattery may be helpful to give more info, but this is something you most likely need to look into.
coconutBattery 3.8.2 - by coconut-flavour.com

System Integrity Protection disabled - System Integrity Protection is disabled. This computer is at risk of malware infection.

Why is this disabled? Some software require it to bypass Apple's restrictions, but this should be avoided.

Apple security disabled - Apple security software is disabled. This computer is at risk of malware infection.

I'm not sure what this means. This is worrisome.

More than one antivirus app - This machine has multiple antivirus apps installed.

In addition to Avast and Malwarebytes, you also have Virus Barrier. So you have 3 pieces of anti-malware software installed and running. That's crazy pants. Uninstall them all... maybe keep just Malwarebytes to run once in a while, or ditch that and get DetectX instead and run that once in a while. In fact, I definitely recommend trying DetectX. It's proving very good at rooting out adware. You don't need anything else.

I can't tell what version of Paragon's NTFS you have installed, but you at least need to make sure you have the latest version for Catalina compatibility.

2020-01-02 熊掌记 (1.7.7)

This shows as a piece of installed software. I have no idea what this is.

You also have 2 memory cleaning apps loading: Memory Clean 2.app and Memory Clean.app. You don't need two of these running. You don't even need one. They are placebos and don't do anything truly useful.

These are everything that need immediate attention. Some other members may have things to add. CleanMyMac is a controversial app that many here frown on. I'm of the opinion that it does a lot of useful things in a convenient package, but I don't like the vague "cleans junk" feature that it claims to do and otherwise it's overpriced for it all. I don't know how reliable its malware removal feature is (which makes this 4 pieces of anti malware software you have here), but I wouldn't vouch for it.

Download Find Any File (see my signature). Then boot into Safe Mode. Use FAF and search your Mac for the string Paragon and delete anything it matches. Reboot when done.

Thanks. I will take your advice on all of this and let you know how I go. In respect of the battery, I only use my computer when it is plugged in so does it matter that the battery may not be optimal? Cheers

It's probably ok, but I'll defer to others who may know more about it.

Just don't let that battery die altogether. Your 2012 Retina MacBook Pro may not work at all without a "live" battery. Older MacBooks and MacBook Pros could be operated directly from AC power without a battery but later models require a functional battery.

I fixed Security Integrity Protection, and removed programs you suggested. Also ran Onxy and Disk Utility which did not find any issues. This is the latest report:

End of report
Unless anyone can think of a solution, I think I will back-up my files, d clean system install and start again. At least that will get rid of any offending software if that is the problem.

In addition to what Lifeisabeach said, there is also a listed recent installation of "Clean My Drive 2" which you don't need/want on your system.

Reading through the most recent Etrecheck, I think reinstalling the OS is the best path. But I would recommend against using any backup to restore the applications. You can use Migration Assistant to recover your data files, but if you also recover your applications, the junk may well be back as well. It's a PITA to reinstall all of your apps, but that is the cleanest and safest way to go at this point.
