I have the standard Apple laser mouse, the one thats comes with G5 and it gets all oily and greasy pretty quick because of the smooth plexi type plastic that it is made of. I find myself washing my hands and cleaning the mouse with alchohol and a paper towel at least twice a day (when I'm working all day). I'm a graphic designer and mouse control sometimes is key, so I really can't stand having a greasy, oily mouse.

Anyone have any solutions? I was thinking of buying a PC type mouse, but I've gotten so use to the ergonimics of the apple mice... I can't imagine making a complex lasso selection in photoshop any other way. I especially liked the older round mice that came with the G4's, does anyone make a laser version that is similar? Any other solutions? Maybe I can coat it with something or stick some type of grippy thing on it, i dunno.

Don't eat greesy foods?

Try keeping some of those wet-nap hand wipes nearby that they give you with chicken wings. Whenever you start feeling greesy, use a wet-nap on your hands and the mouse.

Another alternative...get a Wacom tablet with mouse. It's a more PC traditional mouse with a scroll wheel and right-button. The pen comes in handy for graphic projects.

Yeah the other mouse will only get that way to - I keep coffee and food well apart from my Mac! :)
