My Great Quartz Composer Screensaver

perhaps you didnt notice that there is a great app bundled with tiger.
called "quartz composer" (aka pixelshot).
it's included with the developer tools.
if you don't have installed them.
DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!


so, okey:
some of you know the apple RSS reader screensaver (cool thing, really).

so, i changed a little bit the background, added a clock, with cute blur effect.

okey:

attached the three screensavers i've done:


"RSS Visualizer in Colour.qtz.zip":
RSS viewer with clock at the top (fits perfect with 20"), and beautiful background

"wallpaper.qtz.zip":
just a simple background.
chanching color slowly.
perfect to make this screensaver as wallpaper (with "Wallsleep").
!!! you need a very fast mac. really

"rotating.qtz.zip":
screensaver chaning background color.
the words (you can define which one) will fly on your screen rotate in all three axes. they just fly around.


install:
drag the .qtz files in the folder "/Library/Screen Savers/" thats it.

I really like those, and I'll definitely be using them. I think the date and time flashing in the the RSS Visualizer in Colour is slow it down for me. It's making the screen saver stutter, I think. I notice that you have some amazing specs for your G5, so that is why mine may not be getting the desired effect. Just look in my profile for my specs on my iMac to compare.

The wallpaper one works greats, and it looks nice.

if you want to change the time of a cycle, just install the developer tools.
then, you just can open the file, and edit some values.

search for fields "duration" to change the time value
