I just recently bought a new 2014 Mac Mini. When I bought it from PortableOne, in the description, it said that is came with Yosemite. That was the good news, or so I thought. However, when I got it, it came with Sierra, and that's the bad news, for me anyway. You see, I have the older versions of Adobe CS5 PhotoShop and Indesign and prior to purchasing the new Mac Mini, I knew that my Photoshop and InDesign would work with Yosemite, but not Sierra. I already know that I cannot download Yosemite from the Apple App Store, because I never downloaded Yosemite when it first came out, because at the time it came out, I was happy with the Mountain Lion OS 10.8 and I did not want to install it on my hard drive, which I thought would happen immediately. Does anyone know where I can get a Yosemite DMG? Thanks!

Yosemite simply isn't available from Apple anymore. However, these versions of the Macintosh OS are:

According to Mactracker the late 2014 Mac mini shipped with OS X 10.10.x (Yosemite).
Therefore you should be able to install this by using Internet Recovery (as opposed to Recovery) - hold down Command + Option + R whilst rebooting.
The following article explains the difference between Cmd + R (restores current version of OS) and Cmd + Opt + R (which restores the OS that shipped with your mini).

When I got my Late 2014 Mac mini in 2016, El Capitan was installed on it, and I haven't attempted Internet Recovery, to see what would be installed. I also believe you should be able to use Internet Recovery to get Yosemite installed.
