AirTies_Air5340_FW_1.2.0.8_FullImage.bin

Tried opening with Archive Utility, Stuffit Expander, Unarchiver; all unable to recognise format. Any suggestions?: :\

There are many generic BIN files out there but . . .

Was there perhaps a matching .cue file?

If so, this is a proprietary image disk image file format used by the Windows burning software Nero

That looks like a firmware file that you wouldn't (and shouldn't) be opening up. Use whatever hardware is meant to use that firmware and feed it into it and it will take care of the rest.

Not only did I miss that but I completely misread the file name. It's way too early for me today.

To further my assumption, based on the file name, the device in question is the AirTies Air 5340 Wireless ADSL2 router..

So go into whatever configuration (usually web-based) panel this device has and you should find an area allowing you update the firmware on the device. You can then point it to the firmware..

Spot on; I didn't bother with too much information in my question but

Thanks- the files on the Air Ties site are .exe; I don't know enough about this but inappropriate for my Mac... tried to contact the "24/7 help desk" but no reply(!). Will keep trying- all I want is the Usage Meter download!
