I can't open multi-part .sitx or .rar files with Stuffit or Stuffit Deluxe. The Archive Manager freezes if I try to open a .sitx part in it and Stuffit Expander only opens the first part I give it, waits a while and if I asked it to open the rest of the parts it gives me the "this file is not compressed" error for each other part I gave it.

Try The Unarchiver instead, or Unrarx for .rar files.

I use UnRarX for multi-part .rar files already and both it and Unarchiver refuse to expand multi-part .sitx files.

Ok, have you got all of the files in the same folder, and are you opening the last one first, as you would a .rar archive?
Also, which version Stuffit do you have?

LAST one first? I've never tried that. I always figured I had to start with part 1. That's what I do with UnRarX with .rars. >.> (and yes they're in the same folder)

I have Stuffit Deluxe (I think that's version 14).

I tried it opening it last part first and got error messages:

Stuffit Expander:
The file does not appear to be compressed or encoded. It is advised that you obtain further information about the contents of this file from the sender or provider of the file.

Archive Manager:
The file is not a browsable archive or is of a file type that Archive Manager does not recognize.
