Hello

I have Box Drive that is shared for the company I work for.

There are .one files which are Microsoft OneNote files that I'd like to open. Each time I attempt to open it, I get this message shown in the attachment. I have the Microsoft OneNote App on my mac, but it will not open already created OneNote Files.

I am able to open up .xslx, .ppt, and .docx with MS Excel, Microsoft powerpoint and Microsoft Word apps on my mac computer. However I am unable to open OneNote Files. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

There's a problem with the file. MS OneNote is telling you that it can't recognize it. I suspect the file is corrupt. Did you create the file with the version of OneNote you have or did you get it from someone else?

I got the file from someone else. It is from a cloud server called Box. My co-worker is able to pull it up on her own computer, she has a windows computer. I do not think its corrupt

No, the creator of the OneNote document needs to put the original into OneDrive, and share it that way. They need to invite you, in order or you to have access to it.

It is already on a cloud server called Box. Why wouldn't I be able to open it up on a like a .docx file? I am able to open these files fine. This would be a very cumbersome process. The files is already saved on Box, then put it on onedrive to share??

but you have not addressed whether or not your colleague has invited you (basically given you permission) to open the file.
