I want to replace the PRAM batter on my PowerBook G3 400MHz Lombard. A photo of the original is below.

The original PRAM battery contains four Panasonic VL2330 ( +3V ) button batteries. The cheapest I can find these same batteries for (with solder tabs) is $6.90 each from China.

Anyone have a suggestion for a cheaper / easier alternative for replacing my PRAM battery?

Thanks!

I actually hadn't checked Aliexp, thanks for the tip! Total there is $22.40 for all four which is a bit better than what I found on the big auction site.

Actually, if I recall when I had to replace a PRAM battery in a PB G3 many years ago, it cost around $30.00 back then and in todays dollar equivalent it would cost many times that amount, especially if bought via Apple!!!

$6.90 is pretty cheap as these sort of things goes. Considering the age of the computer...very lucky something is still available.:)

This sort of PRAM battery is MUCH more common & MUCH more widely used in older desktop Mac's...and it still costs $3.95 from macsales.com. And I've seen them selling for much more on other sites:
