Hi,
I have been running along without any problems on my iMac for a while. Now all of a sudden the reminder app isn't working. Before when a reminder was due it would show in the upper right corner of my screen and make an audible sound. Now I get nothing. I went through the preferences for the reminder app and can't find any way to toggle the app on and off. I have been messing with any settings at all on the iMac. I am using Ventura 13.0.1.

Any help would be appreciated!

Look at the Notifications area of settings. Make sure Reminders is authorized to provide the notifications you want.

Thank you as that is apparently the cause. I went to Notifications and sure enough the Reminders were off. I will see tonight as I have daily reminders. I am totally 100% baffled on how the Reminders got shut off.

Thank you again,
Don

Have you made any OS updates recently? It might have happened then. I haven't had that setting get changed but the setting that allows my Apple Watch to unlock my iMac has gotten changed several times.

The latest update was from 13.0 to 13.0.1 and I have had that update for a while. The reminder issue just started a couple of days ago. I think this iMac just doesn't like me. Wasn't all that long ago the Notes app ditched all my notes. I had several years worth of notes just disappear.

My experience is that once a week I have to provide the password again to authorize the AW to unlock the MBP. Not sure why, but it happens.

I don't think I have to do it once a week but it's happening pretty regularly.
