Can anyone help? I bought a replacement battery for my Macbook Air - pretty simple to install - but on the back it had clear plastic film on each of the battery cells. Should I remove these or not? Has anyone seen this before. There's no guidance either way with the battery. Many thanks!

Normally, clear plastic film is there to keep the item from being scratched or otherwise damaged. (protective film) I would remove the film as it may prohibit the battery from cooling properly.

Thanks chscag - that's what I thought... the first one pulled off smoothly, the second one was secured at the bottom with what looked like a bit of gaffer tape. When Ipulled this off, it exposed some wires. So I'm now a bit confused!

Probably best to replace the plastic at the bottom with that same piece of tape as it appears it may have been an insulator. (At least cover the wires.)
