I've searched the forums for a similar problem, but unable to find anything on this topic:
I am running Parallels with Windows XP so I can use a Pinnacle Video Capture Device with my Mallincam astonomy video camera and capture images using DeepSky Imaging software. Here is the problem:
The Pinnacle device handles both composite and S-video inputs. I've tested the device on my XP PC laptop and I know the device is capable of receiving and displaying input from both sources. On my Mac Mini running Parallels, Windows XP, and the same DeepSky Imaging software, the device only passes the composite video source to the MAC. I've loaded the same Pinnacle drivers on both the PC and the Mac, but get no S-video signal on the Mac.
The Mac Mini is my first Mac and the reason I purchased it is so I could use it to control my LX200GPS telescope and the Mallincam video camera, and display live video images using DeepSky Imaging simultaneously on one machine. It all works, except for the S-video issue.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem and have a solution?
Thanks,
