Safari keeps randomly jumping back to top of web as I am scrolling down trying to look at stuff. I have reset safari twice now and no change. It is the only program with this problem. Also my baby pushed some button and now my voice over won't turn off. Please help! and thank you in advance :|

The Safari issue makes no sense to me so hopefully someone else knows what is up.

On the Voice Over open System Preferences and Universal Access. Turn off Voice Over.

Also what version of OSX is this and on what Mac model? It might help someone help you.

Is this occurring while a page is loading? If I am reading your post correctly I've seen this on some sites. It seems to happen to me if I start scrolling down the page before it is finished loading. It seems like something at the top of the page forces things upward when it finishes loading.

I think I got the voice over issue resolved, so thank you for that info :)
we just downloaded maverick osx yesterday hoping that it might resolve our issue but it didn't. and I have a MacBook Pro. The page is fully loaded and it still randomly jumps to the top constantly, its pretty annoying. Hopefully that may help you help me lol again thank you

Is it possible that you have downloaded a Safari Extension that might be causing this behaviour? I had one called Auto Pagerize that could cause this sort of thing to happen, so I disabled it.

I have the same issue with Safari and always have had. It even occurs when viewing this forum. I will be scrolling down the page of posts, and it suddenly jumps back to the top. Doesn't happen when in a thread, but when scrolling through the forums. Never have been able to isolate the cause.

Are you guys using an Apple Trackpad or Apple Magic mouse? I am wondering if you are somehow tapping with the wrong finger which is making it go to the top? I was having that issue with the Magic Mouse and zooming and found it was me tapping the wrong way.

I don't have a mouse, just the pad on the computer itself. I didn't have this issue until my baby pushed something on the computer. It has been doing it for about a week and a half, I never had that issue before. I didn't download anything before the issue started happening either, we tried updating our programs after having tried to fix it multiple times with the hope that the updates would fix it. I don't know what he could have pushed lol but thank you for your help :)
