Sync iMac and MacBook Air

I am trying to sync a “MacBook Air M1, 2020 with Sonoma 14.1” to an “iMac Retina 5K 27 inch 2017 with Ventura 13.6.1” so that the Contacts file on the MacBook Air will reflect additions and changes made to the Contacts file on the iMac.

The instructions provided by Googling the question confused me enough to go to the App Store. There, SyncTime looks like it is what I am looking for.

I would VERY MUCH appreciate any suggestions.

Contacts should sync through iCloud if you have both machines logged into the same AppleID account and have turned on Contacts syncing. No third party add on needed.

I do not remember turning on Contacts syncing, but I just logged both in at iCloud, and the changes made to the iMac appear on the MacBook Air. They probably already were there, but I didn't think to check because I knew (thought) I hadn't done anything to cause it.

Glad you got it sorted. The default setting is to share Contacts through iCloud, so you didn't have to make any changes to get it going, just log in. You should, however, check what IS synced, to make sure that it is supporting what you want.
