Apparently it is not compatible. Roaring Apps says there is not enough data to make a determination, but that usually means that it doesn't work right or at all.

Print Shop 2 is a pretty old app. Roaring apps says the last OS to be compatible with Print Shop 2 is OS 10.8. That's 5 OS versions ago...and 4 versions older than Sierra!

What Print Shop should I use?

None. According to Roaring Apps, even the latest version of Print Shop does not work with Sierra or High Sierra. We strongly recommend you look for another app that is compatible and easy to use for layouts.

I use "iStudio Publisher" which is fully compatible with Sierra and High Sierra. You can purchase a copy from the Mac App Store for less than $20.00 and it is as powerful and easier to use than Print Shop. However, it's your choice of course as there are many other programs you can look at to replace Print Shop.

The first thing to be aware of is...not all applications last forever. Sometimes applications simply fade away since they are not continuously updated to be compatible with newer/newest OS versions...and/or newer versions released.

We're kind of in the dark as far as what's going on at your end. I'm guessing you've either:

- Purchased a new or newer computer & it's running 10.12 (Sierra)...and discovered that Print shop doesn't work with Sierra.
- You recently upgraded the OS on your computer (from a much older OS version)...and now discovered that Print Shop doesn't work with Sierra.
- You "rediscovered" Print Shop laying in the back of a closet...grabbed it...blew the dust off it...installed it...and found it doesn't work with Sierra.

If you do an internet search...these two products turn up:

https://www.mackiev.com/printshop3/features/whatsnew.html

Don't really know if either of these is the successor to Print Shop 2. But both are still old...and as far as I can tell...neither is compatible with Sierra. If all of this is true...what you may need to do is search for a newer up-to-date application that does things similar to Print Shop 2.

I have Print Explosion Deluxe also but I want to be able to soften edges in pictures that I add to greeting cards. You know, kinda where the edges are faded? Print Explosion won't let you do that to graphics. I loved that The Print Shop does.

One option you do have is...use an older computer running an older OS that is compatible with Print Shop 2. Then it will work.:)

Yes, I had to purchase a new Mac. I liked the fact that Print Shop lets you soften or blur the edges of pictures and graphics that I add to greeting cards. I have Print Shop Version 2 and it won't work on my new Mac. I also have Print Explosion but it won't soften the edges on graphics.

I have a couple of people at work who still insist that Print Shop is available on their PC (Windows 10). I have to set it up to run it like it is on a Windows 7 machine. It works, but every time there is an update to Windows 10, the program has to be reinstalled. Unfortunately OS X does not have that feature.

As Nick said it is an old program. I am in the process of training everyone on Photoshop and Illustrator which are a bit pricey. You might look into PrintMaster Platinum v.8. I would call them to see if it is compatible.

Is The Print Shop For Mac version 2 not compatible with MacOSSierra 10.12.6?
It's working for me on Sierra on a mid 2012 MBP.

Roaring Apps lists it as questionable which means it "might" work or "might not". Glad you replied with your experience, perhaps that will save the OP some $$.

There's also a v. 3.x Print Shop available but looks iffy as a well at the RoaringApps site.

Maybe best to check with the developers and check also if there's a reduced upgrade price for v. 2.0 users:

A quick web search lists sever hits that should do what you want and some pretty cheap:
